I Wish You a Merry Quilt-A-Long: Block 3
Yay, it's block release day for the I Wish You a Merry Quilt-A-Long. It is actually double the fun today because there are two new blocks being released, and yes each block has its own prize drawing. This post is for my version of Block 3 and you can find my post for Block 4 here. If you are new to the QAL take a look at this post by Pretty Piney that has all the QAL links so far. It is not too late to join in the fun!
Are you ready for some Santa action? Laura Piland of Slice of Pi Quilts has designed an easy and fun pattern of Santa's Belt for Block 3.
Fabric Choice
I chose pretty traditional colors for this block. Solid red and black, with a speckled silver for the belt buckle. It will be fun to see what fabric variations others come up with.My Tips for the Block
The piecing for this block is pretty easy and the pattern directions are straightforward. It is amazing how just a few rectangles and squares are immediately recognizable as Santa's Belt. What a clever design!Enter the Block Prize Giveaway
