SandyStar Designs is about sharing creative joy in the quilting community.

I am Sandy Maxfield, the Sandy in SandyStar Designs. I love designing quilts, both the creative design work and the more technical aspects of bringing design to life. I am inspired by texture, by geometry, and especially by color. No doubt my quilting style reflects my techno-nerd training and professional work. I've been a university librarian, an educational technology manager, and an information technology professor. At heart I am a learner and a teacher.
