Quilt Along By The Sea Block 12
Welcome to Block 12 in the Quilt Along By The Sea! You can "see the light" with the Quilted Cliffs Lighthouse block designed by Karen Thurn. The pattern and and tutorial are available on her website: Tu-Na Quilts, Travels, and Eats.
This is the final block in the quilt along as well as being the final block in Segment 3. What a great journey this has been! Check out my QAL Wrap-Up post to see what I am doing with my blocks.
Quilted Cliffs Lighthouse Block
This is my version of Karen's Quilted Cliffs Lighthouse block. Quilted already because somehow my before-quilting photo of the block didn't turn out. You will have to look at my wrap-up post to see how I used this block. Hint: I'm making smaller projects instead of one big quilt.
My Tips for Block 12
The detailed instructions in the pattern are quite thorough, so my only tip is to use the cutting chart and labels to keep your pieces organized. I also checked off the steps as I moved through the instructions so I didn't lose my place. Otherwise it is pretty straightforward traditional piecing, which is my favorite kind of block!
